Between 2016 - 2023 I collaborated with Hans Bouscholte (skipper in the Whitbread Round the World Race 1997-1998) to run the Ocean Races Academy turning it into a foundation in 2018, called ‘Holland Ocean Racing’.

During these years, I ran the operations of Holland Ocean Racing and was chairman of the Foundation.

Ibiza Regatta

During many editions of the Ibiza Regatta I skippered corporate teams like “Arena Aviation” and “Team Sailing Architect ZKV 2” (2024) to set sail in this annual regatta around the Island of Ibiza. Including deliveries from Alicante/Denia to Ibiza or Palma de Mallorca to Ibiza.

Media

In 2021 I joined the professional crew in the reality show “Alle Hens Aan Dek”, sailing the Swan 65 King’s Legend. With Hans Bouscholte, Erik van Vuuren and 5 Dutch Sports and TV personalities we set sail from Las Palmas to The Hague. An epic Ocean journey along the Fasnet Rock and Ille d’Ouessant.
